The goal for which you have been studying hard for years: your first job! We support you with your preparation for your entry in the job market with seminars, lectures and workshops. Every semester, you can look forward to exciting events on career-related topics.

The workshop "Working and living in Jena" will show you, how to start your career successfully in Jena. We tackle the following issues:  

  • What employment chances do you have in Jena?  

  • What are the special features of the job market in Jena and which branches could be relevant for you? 

  • What steps are necessary to start your career, which channels can you use and who supports you on the way to employment?  

  • What makes Jena so attractive for young professionals?

First impression counts! Make sure you take the chance, to clearly show what you can offer! In the online lecture, you will get an overview of the application portfolio and learn how to structure your cover letter and CV to match the German professional application standard. 


Anastasia Sabatkouskaya – ThAFF consultant since 2020. Before 5 years of experience of supporting migrants in their labor market integration in Thuringia, over 10 years work in youth policies area, international exchange programs, Erasmus + projects in Germany and Belarus. Master in Public Policy (Erfurt, Germany 2015), Diploma in International Economic Affairs (Minsk, Belarus 2006). 

Rubén I. González Tinoco – ThAFF consultant since 2020. From 2016 until 2020 working as advisor for professional recognition and integration for migrants in Jena. Before experience in legal and social sector in Venezuela. Master in Public Policy (Erfurt, Germany 2015), Alternative Conflict Resolution and Mediation (León, Spain 2012) and Law Studies Diploma (UCAB, Venezuela 2008).
