Assessement criteria:

  • Weighting of the final grade of the first academic degree: score = (4 - final grade or preliminary average grade) * 25 points.
  • Evaluation of the quality and fit of the completed bachelor's degree (up to 25 points)
  • Evaluation of the quality of special scientific achievements through research work in relevant field (up to 15 points). 

To be eligible for admission, 50 of the 115 possible points are required.

Please note that a preliminary assessment of the chances of admission is unfortunately not possible.

  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a technical or scientific field, whose curriculum covers the special educational prerequisites for the Master's Programme in Scientific Instrumentation. Such degrees should be, in particular, those awarded in physics engineering, precision engineering, physics, electronic engineering, mechatronics, medical engineering, mechanical engineering and comparable study programmes. 
  • A good command of English, demonstrated either by a TOEFL or IELTS test. Minimum levels of English: Paper-based TOEFL 550 points, internet-based TOEFL 79 points, IELTS overall band score of 6.0. The test shall not date back more than two years.

  1. Curriculum vitae (computer generated)

  8. Copy of your bank transfer form showing the transfer of the application fee. If you got an offer letter for winter term 2023, you upload your offer letter. In this case you do not have to pay application fee again.
  9. Optional only: Additional documents like recommendation letters etc.
  10. Applicants from India: A document allowing the conversion from CGPA to percentage.

Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass die Scans eine gute Qualität haben.

Nach der Einreichung der Kopien über unser Campusportal ist die Einsendung der Hardcopies nicht mehr erforderlich. Die Originale müssen bei der Immatrikulation vorgelegt werden, wenn die Zulassung erteilt und akzeptiert wird.

Bitte überprüfen Sie die Richtigkeit der Daten in Ihrer Bewerbung, die Sie an unsere Hochschule senden, insbesondere wenn Sie sich über eine Agentur bewerben. Der Bewerber haftet für die Richtigkeit der Angaben und Nachweise, auch wenn er eine Agentur mit der Bewerbung beauftragt.

Bewerbungen für Studentenwohnheime werden ab dem 1. April angenommen. Bitte bewerben Sie sich für einen Platz im Studierendenwohnheim, auch wenn Sie noch keine Zusage erhalten haben. Das Genehmigungs-PDF erhalten Sie nach einigen Tagen. Es enthält Ihre Mieternummer.

Important:

  • Formats deviating from the above may cause a significant delay in processing.
  • Additional fees may apply for international bank transfers. Please arrange with your bank that all extra fees will be charged to you as the remitter (choose OUR as payment variant).
  • Applications are processed after the full amount of 75 Euro has been assigned to the university's bank account.
  • Please consider that we do not refund the application fee for rejected or withdrawn applications.

Step 3

Apply for a room in a dormitory. As the number of rooms is very limited, please apply for a room at the online platform of the Studierendenwerk immediately after you applied for the course. The application for the room can be cancelled free of charge at any time. Applying after admission will leave without a room and may cause additional commuting time. You will receive a confirmation of receipt with your tenant number by email.

Hint! After choosing the dormitories you intend to apply for, please checkmark the option 'Please check this box if you also wish to receive offers from all other residential complexes!' as well. In case the chosen complexes are completely filled already, you will receive an offer for another dorm. That increases your chances of getting a place significantly and it might be possible to change for the summer term.
