The Master's programme has a standard duration of 3 semesters and can be started in either the winter or summer semester. The rapid pace of innovation demands a high degree of creativity, communication skills, professionalism and, in particular, an understanding of current business model developments, complex IT infrastructures and their evaluation and applicability in practice, as well as methods to translate the requirements and needs of customers/users more quickly into software products or digital services. The programme integrates theoretically sound business management and computer science-oriented content, while conveying the holistic way of thinking and working of a digital leader in a practice-oriented manner. In the first two semesters, specialised modules teach topics such as

A degree in a Bachelor's degree programme at a higher education institution or an academic degree from a higher education institution recognised as at least equivalent with at least 210 ECTS credits in one of the following degree programmes is required for admission to the programme: e-commerce, e-business, business informatics, retail management, business administration with a subject-specific focus or related degree programmes.
The overall grade of the degree should be at least "good". If a Bachelor's degree with less than 210 ECTS credits has been acquired, students may make use of the option of an internship, project work in the scientific or practical field or a special study plan to acquire any credit points still lacking.
For admission to the Master's degree programme, proof of sufficient knowledge of the English language is required, which is usually provided either by a TOEFL test or by completing a module in the Bachelor's degree programme in English. The module in English can also be a foreign language module.
For foreign applicants, proof of sufficient knowledge of the German language is also required. If the number of applicants exceeds the planned number of admissions, a selection procedure is carried out. The modalities of the procedure are determined by the departmental council.

After successful online application and admission to the desired degree programme, you apply for enrolment electronically and then send the enrolment documents (see below) to the university by post.
