Medical Engineering (M.Sc.)

The Master's program in Medical Engineering at University of Applied Sciences Jena provides specialized knowledge of modern medical electronic device and system development. The focus is on medical technology research and applications with emphasis on selected areas such as medical measurement technology, diagnostic sensor technology and imaging. The master's program will enable you to apply and develop various devices and processes.

In order to prepare you early on for the requirements of modern technology-oriented companies and research institutions, the research orientation of the program includes a project work phase extending over three semesters. During this time, you will work on your own projects in cooperation with companies and other scientific institutions. You can also gain insight into the everyday working life of various institutions such as the University Hospital as part of some of the courses.
