The participation fee of 40.00 euros per person includes the following services:

• Bus trip to Berlin and back to Jena
• 2 nights in the Youth Hostel Berlin - International (shared room), incl. breakfast and dinner
• City tour of Berlin
• Guided tour of the East Side Gallery 
• Admission to Science Center Spektrum Berlin
• Guided tour of the exhibition at the Tränenpalast

Not included are all other costs for food and drinks, etc. during the excursion.

Further important information

• Please take your thoska, passport and/or residence permit/visa with you.
• The journey to Berlin takes about 4 hours. We will take 1 to 2 short breaks.
• At many rest stops the fee for using the toilet is €0.50 to €1.

Youth Hostel Berlin - International

• Please bring your own towels. Bed linen is available free of charge.
• Smoking is prohibited inside the youth hostel. Alcohol is not permitted in the rooms. It is also not permitted to cook or eat cooked meals in the rooms.
• Please note the night's rest from 10 pm to 7 am. Conversations/music in room volume are allowed during that time.
• Free Wi-Fi is available in the youth hostel.
• The Youth Hostel is located in the centre of Berlin. The nearest public transport stops are “Gedenkstätte Deutscher Widerstand” (Bus), “Potsdamer Platz” (S-Bahn), “Kurfürstenstrasse” (Underground, line U1) and “Bülowstrasse” (Underground, line U2).  You can find the timetable at: https://www.bvg.de/en

On Saturday 6 June 2026, the Long Night of Science will take place in Berlin from 5 pm to midnight. Your are welcome to attend the events individually.
