The Transition from a Bachelor's to a Master's Program

When transitioning from a bachelor’s to a master’s program, there are a few things to keep in mind that you should include in your planning. You can also find the document checklist and details on the application process for consecutive master’s programs on our website.

1) Log in to the Campus Portal using your student credentials

2) Submit an application through the Campus Portal and upload the required documents

3) If admitted → Accept the admission offer within the specified deadline

4) Apply for digital enrollment via the Campus Portal

5) Send the required documents by mail to the University of Applied Sciences Jena or submit them in person:

  • Signed application for enrollment (generated after submitting the electronic enrollment application)
  • Proof of completion of the bachelor’s degree program, to be submitted by October 30 (winter semester) or April 30 (summer semester) at the latest
    • A simple copy of your bachelor’s degree certificate
    • Note: If the documents confirming completion of your bachelor’s degree are not yet available, please submit a list of courses and grades with an overall grade. If this is also not yet available, you can use this form to provide proof of successful completion of your bachelor’s degree.
  • Bank statement showing proof of payment of the semester fee for the master’s program (under the applicant number) or re-registration for the bachelor’s program (under the student ID number)
  • Please note: If you will not complete your module exams, your bachelor’s thesis, or the colloquium until the next semester, you must re-enroll in the bachelor’s program in any case. We can only enroll you in the master’s program once you have completed your bachelor’s degree.

Important: It is no longer necessary to withdraw from the Bachelor’s program. It is sufficient to submit proof to us that you have successfully completed your Bachelor’s degree. We will handle all other steps—including the formal termination of your enrollment in the program—automatically for you without requiring an application!

1) Register on the Campus Portal

2) Submit an application through the Campus Portal and upload the required documents

3) If admitted → Accept the admission offer within the specified deadline

4) Apply for digital enrollment via the Campus Portal

5) Mail the required documents to the University of Applied Sciences Jena:
