What do I do after my studies? This question is often asked by students who do not yet have a roadmap for the time after graduation. You should therefore find out about your prospects in good time.

Prospects after graduation

Use different strategies when looking for a thesis, an internship or a job to start your career!

Finding jobs and internships

An internship can open doors for you in the company, e.g. to employment as a working student, to a thesis or to starting a job. Companies prefer graduates with practical experience. The contacts you make during your internship are therefore part of your own personal career network.

What should I bear in mind for a (compulsory) internship?

The special thing about studying at University of Applied Sciences Jena is the high level of practical relevance. Compulsory internships are part of every study programme. You can broaden your job prospects with voluntary internships during the semester breaks. Please bear in mind that compulsory internships must be coordinated with the subject advisor or the responsible lecturer. Seek advice from your internship office beforehand.

For Internationals!

For students who do not come from the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area, special legal conditions apply. You can get a quick overview here.

Informative application documents are the basis of every successful job search. You should therefore inform yourself comprehensively about the modalities of the application process. Some information is summarised for you here:
