Long-term study fees for students pursuing a second degree
A second degree program refers to a situation where you are pursuing another degree after having already completed a higher education degree, such as a second bachelor’s degree after having already earned a bachelor’s degree. For a second degree program, the standard period of study for the currently selected program plus four grace semesters is generally considered the tuition-free period of study.
Example:
Bachelor’s program with a standard period of study of 7 semesters:
7 semesters standard duration of study + 4 grace semesters = 11 tuition-free semestersLong-term study fees apply starting from the 12th semester.
In certain cases, the standard periods of study for the completed first degree and the current second degree are combined. This applies if
- professional regulations require the completion of two degree programs for the desired professional qualification, or
- you can demonstrate that you graduated from your first degree program with a grade well above the class average (in the top 30%).
Example:
Completed bachelor’s degree with a standard duration of 6 semesters, ranking among the top 30% of the graduating class; intended second degree with a standard duration of 7 semesters:
6 semesters standard duration of first degree + 7 semesters standard duration of second degree + 4 grace semesters = 17 tuition-free semesters Long-term study fees apply starting from the 18th semester.
