Auditing student status
What is the auditing student status?
Students who are already enrolled in a degree program at another institution or at their own university may, upon application, be enrolled as auditors in an additional degree program. Auditors, just like full-time students, are regular students at the respective university and may earn recognized academic credits and take exams, provided they are still eligible to take exams in the same or similar degree programs (must provide proof of eligibility).
Important note: If you have already successfully completed a degree program (e.g., Bachelor’s, Master’s, or state examination), you are considered a second-degree applicant (see Second Degree).
How do I apply to be an auditing student ?
Admission to programs with no admission restrictions can be requested at the Student Registrar's Office within the specified application deadlines for the respective semester. The following documents must be submitted with the application:
- Application for enrollment (generated after completing the online application)
- Application for part-time student status
- A current certificate of enrollment from the university where you are a full-time student, including details of the program of study, the number of academic semesters, and the number of university semesters
- If applicable, a clearance certificate, provided you wish to study in the same or a similar program
