Application for winter semester 15.05. To 30.09.

The Master's programme in Mechatronics at the University of Applied Sciences Jena runs over a standard period of study of three semesters. In the first two semesters, you will deepen your knowledge in various compulsory and elective modules. You will work in a team on a mechatronics project across all semesters.

In the first two semesters, you have the opportunity to choose the compulsory technical elective modules that are of most interest to you from an extensive range of subjects.

In addition to technical modules, you can also choose from several non-technical compulsory elective modules. Not to be neglected are, for example, knowledge of business administration and the command of modern foreign languages. A list of the modules is provided below. You can find the module plan and the module handbook with the contents of the courses in the download area on the department page.

Other modules in the Master's programme are, for example:

  • Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality
  • Data Science
  • Experimental Modal Analysis
  • Intelligent Systems
  • Optical and optoelectronic sensor technology
  • Servo Drive Technology
  • Reliability Theory

The third semester is reserved for the Master's thesis and an associated colloquium. The Master's thesis is usually written in an external company and should therefore also deal with a topic from practice from a scientific point of view.
