What is the registration required for?
- Borrowing books and other materials
- Using eJournals, databases and more electronic resources
- Initiation of interlibrary loans
- For access to our computer workstations

Who can register in the library and how?
When?
Anytime during our opening hours
How?
- At the library
- With a completed library registration form, which is also available at the lending desk
- Additionally we require the following documents:
- Your identity card or residence permit
- Alternatively: Passport with a current registration certificate
- Your valid thoska
Charges?
- The library is free of charge
Who?
- Members of other Thuringian universities and universities of applied sciences
- Any person with an official residence in Germany
When?
Anytime during our opening hours
How?
- At the library
- With a completed library registration form, which is also available at the lending desk
- Additionally we require the following documents:
- Your identity card/residence permit
- Alternatively: Passport with a current registration confirmation
- If available: Your valid thoska (library card) of other Thuringian institutions
Charges?
- The library is free of charge
- In case you do not already own a thoska (library card): It is possible to purchase one for a fee of 10 € at the lending desk.
What options are available for underage users?
Young people aged 14 and over can register if they have a declaration of consent from a parent or guardian.
Companies and institutions can register as corporate users.
