Forschung

Meine Forschungsinteressen liegen im Gebiet der mathematischen Optimierung. Vor allem  geht es mir hierbei um Anwendungen der Optimierung in der optimalen Steuerung und im maschinellen Lernen.

Optimierungsprobleme sind allgegenwärtig und treten bspw. überall dort auf wo Kosten und Risiken zu minimieren oder Gewinne und Leistung zu maximieren sind. Die Herausforderung besteht darin, die Probleme mathematisch zu formulieren, deren Eigenschaften zu analysieren und geeignete Verfahren zur numerischen Lösung zu entwickeln.
