About us:
The student body of the University of Applied Sciences Jena (EAH Jena for short) comprises all student members (students) of the EAH. The student body, in turn, is composed of the mostly department-specific student councils at the University of Applied Sciences Jena, such as the Industrial Engineering Student Council at the University of Applied Sciences Jena (abbreviated as WI Student Council), which consists solely of those students assigned to the specific Department of Industrial Engineering (abbreviated as FB WI).
The student body of the University of Applied Sciences Jena is generally represented by the Student Council of the University of Applied Sciences Jena (abbreviated as StuRa of the University of Applied Sciences Jena). Specifically, the Industrial Engineering Student Council of the University of Applied Sciences Jena (abbreviated as FSR WI or FaRa WI) acts explicitly on behalf of its affiliated WI student council:
- as the FIRST and most important student point of contact, liaison, and source of advisory support for students of the WI student body and for their concerns, criticisms, worries, and wishes regarding their studies;
- as the official representative and point of contact for the WI student body both internally and externally (especially vis-à-vis the WI Department, the StuRa, and the University of Applied Sciences Jena);
- as a self-governing unit subordinate to the StuRa of the University of Applied Sciences Jena with a focus on:
- the allocation of a portion of the student council-related semester fees,
- collaborations with other committees, companies, and organizations, as well as
- organizing extracurricular events for students.
