The SciTec Department would like to thank Prof. Burkhard Fleck for his many years of dedicated service as programme advisor for the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in ‘Laser and Optical Technologies’, a role he will continue to fulfil until 30 September 2026.

From 1 October 2026, Prof. Maria Dienerowitz will take over as programme director. Prof. Maria Dienerowitz (Chair of Laser Technology) has been working at Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences in Jena for four years and is very familiar with both degree programmes. The SciTec Department would like to thank Prof. Dienerowitz for her willingness to take on the role of programme director and wishes her every success in her new position.
