Welcome to the website of the "Renewable Energies and Storage" working groups at the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. The working groups headed by Prof Dr Stefan Rönsch and Prof Dr Matthias Schirmer are concerned with issues relating to the energy transition in the 21st century. The research work focuses in particular on innovative chemical and thermal energy storage systems (Power-to-X, adsorption heat storage) as well as on the design and simulation of future energy systems. We are active both as a service provider and contract researcher as well as in various subsidised joint research projects. Methodologically, we have various laboratory facilities and simulation tools at our disposal for our work. If you are interested in working with us, we look forward to hearing from you.
