Application for winter semester 15.05. To 30.09.

Enrolment takes place in the respective winter semester. A prerequisite for your enrolment is a study and training contract with a partner company. The standard period of study is five years. In the first two years, you will complete the basic block of theoretical and practical vocational training to become a precision optician. It is possible to shorten your training to 2 years if you perform well. This ends with the IHK final examination at the end of the 2nd year of training. Otherwise, your training ends at the end of the 3rd year of training with the IHK final examination. From the third year onwards, you will enter the Bachelor's degree programme in "Laser and Optotechnologies". During the first two semesters of your studies, the focus of your training is on consolidating, deepening and expanding your knowledge of mathematics, physics and languages. The subject-specific content is taught in semesters 3 - 6. The practical phases are carried out in the training company during the lecture-free period. Your studies conclude at the end of the 6th semester with the Bachelor's thesis.
